BRYAN McFADDEN and KERRY KATONA have cut short their honeymoon to avoid a tropical storm.
They caught the last flight out of Mauritius yesterday after being told they could be in danger when the class three cyclone hit.
Bryan said: We had to pack in a hurry to get off the island. The honeymoon was cut short by 24 hours but were told class three is almost as bad as it can get so we were not going to wait around to see it.

Our favourite band know a thing or two about the pressures of fame... so they weren't surprised to learn that Kym Marsh had quit Hear'Say.
"They were put together so fast, it was too much, too soon," Westlife's Mark told us after the awards.
The gang also admitted they're jealous of bandmate Bryan McFadden, who's honeymooning with Kerry Katona in Mauritius.
When he returns, the boys - whose new single A World Of Our Own is out on February 18 - promise another assault on the charts...and a summer bid to crack the US.

The Irish know how to party especially at a wedding. And party they did, at the dazzling reception that followed Bryan McFadden and Kerry Katona's magical marriage ceremony.
In its time Slane Castle, which is an hour's drive from Dublin, has hosted its share of music business shindigs, concerts for U2, the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen among them. But rarely have guests kicked off their shoes and enjoyed themselves as the 250 friends and family did at the McFaddens' celebrations.
The castle itself had been transformed into a winter wonderland by Irish society florist James Bailie. As a barbershop quartet sang a cappella in the background, the newlyweds unable to stop smiling greeted their guests in front of a giant Christmas tree.
A kir royale reception kicked off the party, and it came to choosing what their guests would eat, Kerry and Bryan were adamant: I didnt want anyone to have to ask a waiter what anything was! said Kerry, who remains remarkably unspoiled after her astonishing change in lifestyle from an upbringing in a Warrington council flat to fame with girl group Atomic Kitten and now, after leaving the band, a TV presenter and wife of Westlife heartthrob Bryan.

16th January 2001

Westlife singer Nicky Bryne has wished defunct popsters Steps good riddance -- because they'd stopped making good songs. The shaven haired Irish star, who has enjoyed phenomenal success with his band, feels that rivals Steps, who acrimoniously split just before Christmas, had let their standards slide.
He says, "I just don't think they were churning out good music anymore.
"The songs they were releasing weren't as special as the stuff they did three or four years ago."

Hello! magazine may have had the exclusive photo rights to Bryan & Kerry's but ShowBiz Ireland can exclusively tell you where the couple are now and how much it is costing them.
Let us start by saying that it is lucky the couple got 250,000 from Hello! for the photo rights of the wedding (organized by Joanne Byrne - Mari O'Leary's right hand woman). Their two-week honeymoon Hotel is a favourite of Prince William and not cheap.
The couple flew out of Dublin to London on Monday last, they then flew on to Sun City in South Africa.
After a few days in The Palace of the Lost City resort in Sun City they jetted first class down to the tiny island of Mauritius where they are staying until the end of this week in one of the island's top hotels.
We won't tell you the name as even we feel they need some peace.
The price for seven days full board is nearly 5,000 Irish for the Mauritius hideaway with the first class flights and the top suite in the hotel.
Oh, by the way that is 5,000 a week... each!!
On top of the 10,000 cost of the hotel in Mauritius they paid 2,000 each for their stay in the South African resort .
The final cost of the honeymoon was close to 20,000 we are told and with over 100,000 going on the wedding the couple must be one of the only Hello! couples to have spent over half their payment by the time the magazine hit the shelves.
The Wedding was organized by Ireland's top wedding planner Tara Fay.

For their new video to World Of Our Own Westlife show off their previously hidden dark side. As they're going to be up against Kylie Minogue in the battle for No.1 on February 18 they needed to get eyes popping - and they will.
We're talking tatoo-ing, scary doberman dogs complete with their suitably mean owner and Bryan being seduced by a sexy police woman. The guys obviously haven't given up on America, as they take the role of gangsters being chased by American cops.
But the biggest talking point will be Nicky's hat. Maybe he's not so sure about that award winning haircut after all because now it's hidden away. The guys have been seeing a lot of Atomic Kitten lately, what with Bryan getting married to Kerry at the start of the week. Perhaps that's when Nicky asked Jenny if he could borrow her fashion must-have. Only joking!?!

12th January 2001

With a new year comes a new look for Nicky Westlife. If you've seen the video for the boys' new single, 'World Of Our Own' (out on February 18), you'll have noticed that the Irish heartthrob has taken to dressing like a '60s-style gangster! Complete with a cane, leather gloves, pin-striped suit and a trilby hat, Nicky looks more like something out of Bugsy Malone than an international pop star!
And Westlife's new vid isn't the only place where Nicky commits this fashion crime - in the pics from Bryan and Kerry's wedding, Nicky can also be seen sporting a similiar pin-striped wasitcoast and trilby hat!
Maybe the lush Westlife lads have a new stylist... But what POPWORLD really wants to know is, what exactly is Nicky hiding under that hat of his? Has he had a bad dye job?
Perhaps he got bored over Chrimbo and shaved himself a David Beckham-style Mohawk? Well, whatever it is, POPWORLD has two wise words of fashion for Nicky - GET RID!

WESTLIFE dress like gangsters ready for another raid on the charts hoping to notch up a TENTH No1.
The exclusive snaps show the lads looking like characters from the movie Reservoir Dogs in the video for new single World Of Our Own.
In the promo they race around in a macho Hummer Jeep chased by cops. They even hired some Dobermans to complete the image though that might have been risky, since they were all dressed like a dogs dinner.
BRYAN McFADDEN, who married KERRY KATONA a couple of days after the shoot, told me: It was good fun. We looked great in the suits and loved our bad-boy look.
But the boys had better be ready for a fight when they release the track on February 18.
They will be up against KYLIE MINOGUE and her single In Your Eyes. And she really dresses to kill.

12th January 2001

Westlife's Kian Egan has revealed that he harbours a secret desire to transform himself into a axe-wielding rocker! In fact, Kian is so desperate to "rock-out" - like his favourite band, Metallica - that he recently bought himself a guitar. "I always wanted to be in a rock band and practised at home." Kian told Smash Hits, adding, "Now I have bought myself a little Christmas present from America. It's a Fender Strat guitar and it's beautiful." Kian also revealed that he spent the festive period jamming with his nearest and dearest. "Every Christmas me and my brother get together and form our own rock band." he explained, "He plays bass and I play guitar. There are seven children in my family and all of us play an instrument of some kind so it's in the genes."

12th January 2001

After having already beaten-off challenges from Victoria Beckham, DJ Otzi and Michael Jackson, with her last single, Can't Get You Out Of My Head, Kylie Minogue is gearing-up to face yet another, fiercer chart battle next month, this time with Irish supergroup Westlife. February 18th sees the release of Kylie's In Your Eyes single and Westlife's World Of Our Own. Although Westlife have only missed out on hitting No. 1 just once during their hugely successful career, pundits are tipping la Minogue to scoop the top spot, due to the current buzz surrounding her. However, as In Your Eyes is already featured on Kylie's multi-platinum Fever album, it isn't expected to shift as many as... Can't Get You Out Of My Head, which recently passed the million mark. Meanwhile, Kylie's camp is confident that she'll beat the Irish balladeers, as their single sales are usually rather low and World Of Our Own is the third track to be plucked from their current album of the same name.

Bryan's home a fortress?

Westlife star Bryan McFadden has splashed out US$28,000 (20,000 pounds) to turn his Irish home into a fortress.
The hitmaker has erected security gates, cameras and alarms at his luxury home in Delgany, County Wicklow.
Pals say that heart-throb Bryan is desperate to protect his privacy in the run up to his wedding to fiancee Kerry Katona.
Security experts have installed a sophisticated system so that fans cannot get near his luxury home.
A pal says, "Bryan is happy to have a high pop profile, but when he is with his family he wants his space. He s going to be away a lot on tour this year and he wants to make sure that Kerry and baby Molly are well taken care of."

Brian McFadden

Pals invited to the wedding of teen pop idol Bryan McFadden and fiancee (former Atomic Kitten star) Kerry Katona were shocked when they received their invitations to the massive bash this weekend.

The invitation shows that former Kerry will marry Brian McFadden instead. Apparently the World Of Our Own hitmaker changed the spelling of his christian name just after he joined boy band Westlife. But wedding guests thought that a printer must have caused a spelling mistake.

A Westlife friend says, "Bryan is just a stage name for him. He just thought it would make him a little different. But he does want to get married under his real name."

Phone bills again!

Westlife singer Shane Filan has run up a bulging $42,000 (GBP30,000) cellphone bill talking to his love. The hunky Irishman is dating Gillian Walsh, who is the cousin of his bandmate Kian Egan. The hitmaker admits he talks to his year-long lover, at least five times a day. And when the boyband are on tour; the cost of the calls can run into serious figures.

WESTLIFE SUBCRIPTION WEBSITE IN TEEN FLEECE OUTRAGE

Highly talented Irish gusset-moisteners Westlife have created a storm of protest over plans to charge fans a whopping 14.99 for special access to their new
website. The boy band claims that subscription to 'Westlife Platinum' - due to a 29 October launch - will give hormone-crazed teens extra footage and interviews. Naturally, this has upset their loyal fans who have been expressing their disapproval on the BBC's Newsround site. Among the tearful teenyboppers is Lucy, 14: Hi I am Westlife's biggest fan, but I think it is not OK for them to charge me for just looking at there website. I mean, don't they make enough money when I buy there albums, videos books etc? Apparently not. And what about young Jem, 13?: I think Westlife are being selfish wanting more money. They have enough already and it is particularly tasteless regarding the recent attacks on America because there are starving people much
more in need of money than they are. I think their plan should be dropped immediately. We couldn't agree more. In fact, why waste 14.99 on five short Irishmen when we have a perfectly good short Irish crooner here at Vulture Central. Intrigued? Our operators are standing by to take your call...

WESTLIFE ARE KINGS OF POP

Pop's royalty came out in force this Saturday for the Disney Channel Kids Awards at the London Arena and dotmusic was invited along to see Atomic Kitten,Westlife and Hear'Say walk off with the accolades. Over a million kids voted for the 15 awards that were spread across music, sport,TV and movies. Double chart-toppers Atomic Kitten beat Britney, Destiny's Child, and Madonna to win Best Female Group/Artist while Popstars winners Hear'Say took home the Best New Chart Shakers gong. But it was left to Irish boyband Westlife to steal the show as they were voted Best Male Group/Artist and Band of the Year.dotmusic's roving reporters were in prime position backstage to get interviews with all the stars. Westlife, Steps, Atomic Kitten, Hear'Say, a1, Mis-Teeq and many more stopped in front of our camera to be quizzed about the show and what they'd been up to recently. Hear'Say nearly burst our eardrums with a group scream, Steps promised us that Gold tour was a "hello tour not a farewell tour" and we were privileged enough to get a sneak preview of Westlife's new single courtesy of Bryan and Mark. The show was also jam packed with performances. Atomic Kitten invited Big Brother winner Brian on stage during 'Whole Again', Steps treated the crowd to their new single 'Chain Reaction' and Geri Halliwell ended the show with an elaborate performance of her recent No.1, 'It's Raining Men'.

KERRY AND BRYAN ARE BACK!

The pair, one of whom used to be pregnant until she had her baby, are seen in all the red tops (October 2) with the baby, Molly, who only recently became born. Bryan is better known to fans as the rhythm guitarist in top rating ever-sitting boyband Westlife, and will stun those who know him by being pictured lying down.Tabloid Hell has learned that big Bryan, who had the baby with girlfriend Kerry even though she gave birth to the baby some nine months after becoming pregnant, was only too delighted to lie down."He'scock-a-fucking-hoop," a man said. "For his entire career he's been known as one of five who sit down. Now he'll be known as the one who lies down while the other four sit down. He thinks the baby is brilliant as well. I asked him what the baby was like and he said 'brilliant'. Kerry is fairly delighted as well. You can tell by the smile. Everyone's delighted, in fact. God bless, them." Not to be outdone, Posh Spice Victoris Beckingham is also pictured lying down in The Sun. In the picture, she is seen reclining with her eyes closed wearing a new bathing costume. Tabloid Hell has heard that Posh saw the interest generated by Bryan lying down and decided to get some of the action herself. "Victoris is always keen to explore new directions in her career," a man said. "This is not something she has gone into blindly and certainly not a way to copy Bryan, who she doesn't know but respects and likes. She thought about lying down months ago after she did that song with the lardy bloke who used to be in that band, but the climate wasn't right. There's been a movement towards lying down in music of late and though no one has really embraced it, Victoris is always keen to remain ahead of the pack and be innovative. I couldn't honestly say just when she'll be lying down again, but I don't think it will be giving too much away to say that fans who come to her personal appearances in the coming weeks will be treated to some scenes of Victoris not standing up. Or sitting for that matter!"

WORLD OF THEIR OWN

Westlife are setting a phenomenal pace in their bid for another UK Number One album, after selling around 50,000 copies of 'World Of Our Own' in just one day, dotmusic can reveal. The Irish boyband are believed to be around 30,000 sales ahead of Madonna, whose 'GHV2' is expected to go in at Number Two this weekend. Elsewhere in the midweek album chart, Gabrielle's 'Dreams Come True' is set for a Top Five hit, while Britney Spears and Michael Jackson's new long-players drop out of the Top Ten. The Radiohead live album 'I Might Be Wrong' is unlikely to make the Top Ten,while there will be considerably greater disappointments for a number of other acts: Paul McCartney's 'Driving Rain' is languishing at the bottom end of the Top 40, alongside The Cure's 'Greatest Hits'. However, 'rock and roll saviour' Andrew WK looks to have categorically failed to inspire ignite the UK, with his debut album currently stiffing in the sixties. In the singles chart, Blue are expected to displace Westlife at the top of the charts, with 'If You Come Back' becoming their second Number One. Other new entries in the Top Ten are set to include Destiny's Child, Lighthouse Family and Bubba Sparxxx.

WESTLIFE GET HIGHER

Westlife have brought Afroman's reign at the top of the UK singles charts to an end and shot to number one with 'Queen Of My Heart'. Afroman's 'Because I Get High' drops to number two but he still sells well enough to hold off So Solid Crew's 'They Don't Know', which enters at number three.

WESTLIFE RUBBISH SOLO CLAIM

Westlife have rubbished their manager's suggestion that Shane and Bryan may be headed for solo careers, dotmusic can exclusively reveal.
Speaking at a press conference in London today, Bryan poured cold water on the rumours, which emerged earlier this week. He insisted: "Our Greatest Hits is due next year and we're already starting to think about our fourth Westlife album." Speaking to a UK pop magazine, manager Louis Walsh had also said that he hated the band's last album.
Responding to this today, Kian joked: " He's a very honest person. He's a very musically minded person." "'Coast To Coast' sold eight million so I hope he absolutely despises this one,"Bryan added.
Speaking at the international press launch of their forthcoming album, 'World Of Our Own' - where the boys exclusively performed two new tracks from the album - they also revealed that they are to be the subject of a BBC documentary in early September. However, Bryan confessed that he has no plans to pursue television presenting following his stint on the This Morning sofas with girlfriend Kerry Katona. "I don't think you'll ever see me presenting This Morning again, 'cause getting up at that time isn't for me," he laughed. Westlife also announced plans to embark on a European round 'in the round' next year.

WESTLIFE HAVE NO LIFE

Only Westlife's Shane and Bryan have a future in music outside the band according to their manager Louis Walsh. In a frank interview with a pop magazine Smash Hits, the Irish band's manager claims only Bryan McFadden and Shane Filan will continue to pursue a career in pop and he also said that he was unimpressed with the band's last album 'Coast
To Coast'. "('World Of Our Own') is much better than the last one," he said, "it's going to sell 10 million. I didn't like the last one, but this is brilliant." "Bryan and Shane are turning out some amazing stuff. They are the two with the long-term futures ahead of them - they have really gelled. It's going to be the album of the year." Walsh also took the opportunity to dismiss rumours of an imminent Westlife split. "It's all rubbish," confirmed Walsh. "The boys are very happy and if they weren't, I don't think they could have produced an album of this quality."
